I recently had the sweetest newborn baby in my Queens photography studio at just one week old. I first met her parents during their maternity session so I was excited to catch back up with them in the studio to photograph Zuri. During their maternity session, the parents-to-be were super sweet and so excited to meet their baby. I couldn’t wait to get them back in the studio to meet her for the first time. It was wonderful getting to meet their little bundle of joy and watch the new parents interact with her during their session. There was so much love!
As for Zuri, she did an amazing job during her session and slept the entire time. As a newborn photographer, I can tell you, that the earlier we can get your baby in the studio the better the session will be. Newborn babies love their sleep and they’re rarely bothered enough to wake up for anything. Because she slept so well I was able to get some of the classic newborn poses during the session and try a variety of poses and hair pieces. She looked pretty as could be swathed in shades of purple, pinks, and creme during her newborn session. I couldn’t get over Zuri’s cute little cheeks and tiny pouty lips or how she was blessed with so much hair! I think I could have photographed her all day.
Unfortunately, sweet Zuri and her family moved away from New York and back home to Washington DC at the end of the summer, understandably to be closer to their family. I’m sad that I won’t see them back and have the opportunity to watch Zuri grow. She’s going to be a charmer I can tell!
